THE CARS
I grew up in Houston during the 50's & 60's, and automobiles were as important to one's life then as they are today, at least from a young man's point of view. Cars defined who you were, what you were, and how fast you wanted to get from point A to B. Cars were freedom, art, and attitude. Astronauts drove around in Corvettes, and Saturday-night showdowns between Chevelle 396's, GTO's, and Barracudas were as common as carhops. It was a hobby and a necessity. And just being in that environment forever cemented my enthusiasm for the automobile.
This page used to contain somewhat short documentations on some of the cars that own (or used to own), however the story on the Jaguar E-Type and The Venus continue to grow by volumes. So I've made separate links to the different cars so that you can choose. By far the Jaguar and the Venus are the best read. The Avenger is short and is about a GT-40/ Volkswagen kit car I put together. The Corvette is about a 1979 model I acquired for near nothing, and put far too much money and effort into.
